In this part, they have to make their final diagnoses and only manage to get two correct out of five disorders.

Island emerged from Tan’s annual excursions to Gotland, an island off the east coast of Sweden, the location of the renowned Russian filmmaker, Andrei Tarkovsky’s last film, The Sacrifice. Filmed in black and white, Island is comprised of shots that traverse a stark landscape of trees, horizon, and clouds. The slow camera work, coupled with the lack of human presence, creates a sense of unease in the viewer and evokes the feeling that time has been suspended. Voice-over narration recounts a woman’s experience and memories of an unnamed island, and allows the viewer to extrapolate meaning from the austere images presented. With Tarkovsky’s apocalyptic last film as a point of departure, Island represents for Tan an imaginary retreat in search of an appropriate individual response to threat, disruption, and danger.

The Polish Language is a film-poem which brings an original poem by Alice Lyons to life through the medium of film. The imagery in this poem is activated in imaginative ways through various styles of animation, employing hand-drawn, stop-motion, and time-lapse techniques. The typography – the style, arrangement, and appearance of the letters and words of the poem – is a central element in this film. The images, animations, and graphics flow freely into each other, mirroring the ebb and flow of the poem’s lines and verses.

Lady Windermere's escape is based on a poem by Maria Barnas in which she quotes from the novel The Third Policeman (1967) by Flann O'Brien and Narration in the Fiction Film (1987) by David Bordwell. According to Bordwell, the film by Lubitsch contains a continuity mistake. Barnas sees a new space for reality in what is created by a lapse in space and time.
