Siqueiros, one of the most important innovators of twentieth-century painting techniques, was also one of the most versatile and controversial figures in Mexican art. Stalinism was adopted with the same passion with which they love their wives or with which they took up the gun during the Mexican Revolution and the Spanish Civil War. He was a man of excesses and outbursts, a born actor who was strongly individual, a personality full of contrasts, an indomitable force of expression, who lived, painted, and struggled with passion, a passion the color of anger.

This film is a chronicle of painter Frida Kahlo, and her encounter with the personalities of her time. Despite being confied to a wheelchair as a result of polio, operations and amputations, she faces and traces some of the most colorful and controversial aspects of Mexican history, during the dominant time of Mexican muralism.
