A group of documentary filmmakers go to Louisville, Quebec, to make a documentary about a textile factory. But this is a ‘legend’: in reality, they are travelling to film eyewitnesses and participants in strikes, working conditions in the factory, interviewing female workers and workers who work for a pittance. Gina, a dancer, also goes to Louisville, Quebec, to please the public in a bar in the evenings with her striptease. All the characters of the film find themselves in the same hotel, all get acquainted, play hockey, skate, then play billiards with the locals, who treat the newcomers with undisguised dislike. And then the documentaries are ‘decoded’, the negatives are confiscated, and a terrible event happens to Gina, which leads to tragic consequences.
