Kosuke got married to his former student Kinuko who came to him running away from her miserable existence as a Geisha. But soon Kinuko runs away from Kosuke too after being seduced by another man. Kosuke manages to bring her back home after she realises that she was not happy without him. Soon after Kinuko dies while giving birth to her child.
